Antares Investment Partners, a leading real estate development and private equity firm, was recently honored by the March of Dimes for their ongoing and significant support of the organization and its mission to give every baby a healthy start.

This year, Antares’ co-founders Joseph P. Beninati and James P. Cabrera were recognized by the March of Dimes Connecticut Chapter at an awards breakfast attended by more than 800 guests that honored outstanding individuals and companies whose commercial real estate activities have significantly enhanced the local community. The event honoring Beninati and Cabrera raised more than $530,000 for the March of Dimes, the largest amount raised to-date at a real estate event held by the chapter.

The March of Dimes was pleased to recognize Antares Investment Partners as this year’s Real Estate Award honorees,” said Julie Fronckowiak, State Director, March of Dimes Connecticut Chapter. “Joe Beninati and James Cabrera exemplify ‘doing well to do good’ in the community and their generous support of the March of Dimes reflects their desire to give all families and babies a healthy start.”

At the event, keynote speaker Duncan Edwards, headmaster of The Waterside School, thanked Beninati and Cabrera for their generous offer to donate land for a permanent facility for 200 children regardless of limitations in income or circumstance.

In addition to its steadfast commitment to the March of Dimes, Antares has focused on increasing its contributions and involvement in charitable organizations in the greater Stamford community and Tri-State area over the past year. The company’s charitable giving focuses on non-profit organizations in the region that support children, education and health and human services.

“Stamford is glad and grateful to have Jim and Joe in our community,” said Dannel P. Malloy, Mayor of Stamford. “They’ve proven in so many ways that they are committed both personally and professionally to advancing the future and well-being of our city.”

Over the years, Beninati and Cabrera have actively supported the important and integral work of organizations in the Stamford/Greenwich area including the Starlight Children’s Foundation, the Greenwich YMCA, Robin Hood Foundation, Greenwich Hospital, Rockin for a Reason to benefit the Norwalk Emergency Shelter and Stamford Shelter for the Homeless, Kids Our Future and most recently, CTE, Inc., The Community Action Agency for the Greater Stamford Area, which provides youth educational programs with an academic, recreational, and social focus.

“Antares’ giving program further builds on our dedication to the community in which we live and serve,” said Beninati. “It is our mission to provide the means necessary to those organizations that will, in turn, serve the greater good of the local region. I am personally honored to continue to lead and be a part of such important initiatives for our organization.”

“Joe and I are firm believers in helping provide support to the future of our communities – the children,” added Cabrera. “Personally, and through Antares, we’re able to enhance programs that will give local area youth the opportunities and resources they need to be successful in their educational endeavors and beyond. It’s a very proud and humbling experience to see how our contributions make a marked difference in the Stamford/Greenwich area.”
