Since their inception in Westport, Connecticut in 1873, the Inn
and Shops at National Hall buildings have been home to a local newspaper,
the town meeting hall, a high school, and state police headquarters.
In 1993, the buildings were converted into a luxury hotel and a
year later they were selected for inclusion in the National Register
of Historic Places. Antares purchased the 42,000-square-foot waterfront
property in 2006 because of its prime location along the Saugatuck
River. With charming boutiques, antique shops, and art galleries
along Main Street and the famous Westport Country Playhouse and
Compo Beach nearby, Westport is gaining notoriety as Beverly
Hills East.
Shops at National Hall are a diverse collection of upscale businesses
on the Westport riverfront. The convenient location of a salon,
luxury furniture showroom, innovative kitchen design store, and
more make The Shops a valuable asset to the Westport community.
