Since their inception in Westport, Connecticut in 1873, the Inn
and Shops at National Hall buildings have been home to a local newspaper,
the town meeting hall, a high school, and state police headquarters.
In 1993, the buildings were converted into a luxury hotel and a
year later they were selected for inclusion in the National Register
of Historic Places. Antares purchased the 42,000-square-foot waterfront
property in 2006 because of its prime location along the Saugatuck
River. With charming boutiques, antique shops, and art galleries
along Main Street and the famous Westport Country Playhouse and
Compo Beach nearby, Westport is gaining notoriety as Beverly
Hills East.
Having earned the coveted AAA Four Diamond Award since 2001, the
Inn at National Hall is sure to impress the most discerning clientele.
Each of the sixteen uniquely-themed guestrooms are impeccably finished
with unique artwork, antique furnishings, and an adjoining marble
bathroom. Eight of the rooms are suites that feature a sitting area,
separate sleeping quarters, wet bar, gas fireplace, Jacuzzi tub,
and stunning views of the Saugatuck River. The Inn also offers an
elegantly decorated boardroom for corporate functions and large
meeting room for private parties, each with exceptional views of
the water.
