November 15, 2005 The transaction represents one of Greenwich's largest lease transactions in 2005. Interactive Brokers Group, which has occupied the space for seven years, will retain its 64,451-square-foot space in the three-building, premier office complex, located at Greenwich Avenue and East Putnam Avenue. Antares Real Estate's Albert E. Lawrence, Senior Managing Director, and P. Edward Lane, Executive Managing Director, represented the landlord, Pickwick Fee LLC, in the lease extension. Interactive Brokers Group represented itself. "As a top-rated securities firm, Interactive Brokers Group has reaped considerable value from the central location and first-class amenities at Pickwick Plaza," said Lawrence. "We are pleased to have renegotiated the lease to keep this long-term tenant on board." Located in the heart of Central Greenwich's business and retail district, Pickwick Plaza's amenities include underground parking and park-like landscaping. The 238,320-square foot office complex was originally developed by Hy Goldfeld in 1974 for Xerox, which was the anchor tenant until 1985. The complex is now owned by a privately-held partnership, whose key participants include Broadway Partners, Antares and Landis. Interactive Brokers Group provides automated and direct access trading technology to both institutional and private investors. It is currently ranked as the 16th largest securities firm by Institutional Investor and the number one software-based broker by Barron's. Other noteworthy tenants at Pickwick Plaza include Deutsche Banc, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, General Atlantic Partners, Performance Equity Management and Sotheby's International Realty.
